The last few weeks have seen volunteers from the Museum Service work alongside the professionals in the lengthy exercise of decanting artefacts from their cases for checking with database catalogues, condition checking and eventually packing into storage boxes for their short trip to MRLC where they will be restored to their collections areas. In the next couple of weeks professional contractors will move into Broad Street to remove the mosaic and larger items from the building.

Library users have already been advised that the branch facility will operate short term from MRLC until the city branch is settled into its new location.
