HMSSG has been involved in several projects and obtained various grants and project funds.

HMSSG received a generous grant of £2,218 from Hereford City Council. This helped towards conservation and framing of a set of fifteen pictures by local artist Brian Hatton (1887-1916), recently returned to Hereford after the death of Brian’s grandchildren. The pictures were taken to America by Hatton’s daughter May.

Recently we have paid for conservation of wall paintings at the Black and White House Museum. and also received a grant from Herefordshire Council to employ a specialist fundraiser to develop new income streams for the museum service and HMSSG.

The Association of Independent Museums awarded HMSSG £1,645.00 to develop our branding and website. The website is maintained by our members. Do tell us what you think!
