Thanks to the National Lottery for enabling the ‘Resilient Heritage’ project which engaged expert museum consultants Prince + Pearce to devise a resilient, sustainable future model for the Museum Service. The report gives a detailed, staged road-map for managing withdrawal of HC funding and sets out a viable, sustainable Museum Trust business model. Dear supporters,
There is currently strong support for expanding the existing Hereford Museum and Gallery in the centre of Hereford to create bigger, better and more exciting exhibitions, an initiative which we are of course whole-heartedly behind.
We are seeking to bid for some of the money from the Stronger Hereford Towns Fund and would be really pleased if you felt you were able to support our bid.
There is an online survey seeking views, and if you could add yours in favour of the Museum & Gallery on Broad Street being expanded and enhanced to greatly improve exhibition space and displays, which will encourage visitors to the town/region and boost local businesses, then that would go a long way to enabling this to happen.

You and a guest are cordially invited to visit the Ice Age Herefordshire exhibition at Hereford Museum & Gallery on Wednesday 12th August, between 10.30 and 12.30.
This is a select viewing for the Museum’s friends and supporters.
Please be aware that face masks must be worn, social distancing and other Covid19 safety systems are in place, and please allow 30 minutes for your visit to enable others to attend. Time slots are 10.30, 11.00, 11.30 or 12.00
RSVP by email to herefordmuseums@herefordshire.gov.uk indicating the timeslot you intend to visit and if you are bringing someone with you.
The exhibition is planned to be open to the public until the end of October if you wish to visit another time
